Singing the praises of R. Bose

I once had a RBose Rogers whittler in remington bone and still kick myself for letting it go. It was a terrific knife.

you mean this lil ol thing?

told you before, give me a ring and i'm sure you can dig something out of that vault of yours that would pry this from my hands
;) ;)

Hmmmm...92, I recognize that little stockman. Glad you still have and like that one so much. Its a great one. So nice...hopefully Reese will be making me another one soon.

Great pics guys.

Hopefully we'll get a post of Five Rings Whittler soon. I sent it to someone who can post it....since he did start this thread, we need to see that one for sure.

Some of them do move around a bit! Only drawback of the low numbered knives is the uncertainty of whether or not to use them...

I suppose that in 2 - 3 years I'll also be singing praises about Reese's knives because my order was just placed for one. :D

Here are a couple of pics of the whittler JT sent me.
Congrats on a great knife 5Rings!

Great pics, thanks. Gus thanks for resizing JT's pics, I'm not up to that task.

Five Rings...you did good, real good. You don't see that green bone from the Boses too much and they are the best with colored bone.

Some colored bone looks too plastic like to me...but the Bose stuff is always deep and rich in color with different shades. Never looks fake at all.

You should see the red bone...amazing. Not much good stuff left either in colors. Fasteddie may even make another appearance in this thread and show us his red bone T.Bose. Great stuff.

Thanks for the pics. And thanks for posting them GK

my Dad's current carry

more later maybe

That stockman is gorgeous! And your Dad's knife ain't too shabby either.

Bastid,

Thanks for posting pictures of my whittler. Don't know why they came out kind of fuzzy when I took them but it was the best I could do. Yea both Reese and Tony told me they only had a little bit of the green bone. Thanks Again, Five Rings.

Gorgeous knives! Does anyone mind telling me what the price range is? If I ever get a promotion, I'd love to treat myself to one of those whittlers!

Freezer,

Send Geode a e-mail he'll fill you in on prices. You may be suprised at really how reasonable they are for a plain user knife that is a custom and a Bose. All you have to do is be patient and wait a few years. That'll give you plenty of time to save up.

Here are a couple more. A small backpocket knife and a cattle knife, both by Reese. BTW, Bose knives do come on the market occasionally. Higher than from the maker, but I don't think you'd ever get hurt on the value. I've bought a number of Bose knives from Knife Legends. They usually has a few of Reese's knives and their prices seem pretty fair.

Here's the cattle knife. I really like this pattern. Need to get one some day.

I love green jigged bone!! OK, do you have a website???? You have whet my whistle!!
