Single blade slipjoints

Superdave1,

I think it would be nice if someone with the proper knowledge (e.g. Bernard Levine?) would write the history of the non-American and non-Western-European folding knives. I guess, there were traditional patterns specific for given regions in many countries. Turkey had a very close contact with Italian, Spanish, Central-European countries over the centuries as well as with the Arab world and Persia. I am sure there were many cross-cultural influences, why would be the folding knife an exception?

Most of the traditional patterns discussed here seem to be multibladed patterns, but I don't really like multibladed patterns. I don't know why, but I don't find much more utility in them, and aesthetically I like them better. Besides sodbusters, what single blade patterns are there?

Huh??? There is other types of single blade slippies?;)

A Wright from Sheffield make singles with wood, stag or horn.....with either lamb or spear blade, but be aware that the springs are good and stout.

The knife pictured has about 20-25% of the blade gone (it started out as a lamb foot).

I am going to buy another.

Regards.
