hey guys, i see alot of Tony Bose knives with single blades. looks like a single blade trapper. well ym wuestion is where can i get one, but from someone like case? bose knives, davidson, etc are all too expensive for my taste. im looking for production please. thanks guys.

Take a look at the Queen Utility or the Case Slimline Trapper. Both models are single blade trappers.

Great Eastern does a single blade that is a lot like a back pocket IMO.. good and wide.

Got a back spring that'll make a man or an amputee out of you.
Great knife.

You may also want to take a look at the Queen Mountainman. If you're looking for a slippy it's not your knife, as it's a lockback, but it's a decent knife.

The Case Slimline Trapper isn't very expensive either. With yellar scales, they are less than $30 retail. Aside from the "How can that be a trapper- it only has one blade", I said to myself- wow- that would probably be a very nice minimalist carry knife- simple, but still seemingly elegant. I am yet to handle one, but in the display case, it looked like a very thin profile to the knife.

There's the Schrade 194OT Lockback Trapper:

And the Boker TrapperLiner, too:

It's hard to beat the Case Barehead Slimline, unless you really dislike Delrin. Then there's always Green or Red Bone.

I just got a really nice little United/Boker -- green jigged bone, carbon blade, half stops -- but they're no longer made.

Happy hunting,

Well, the Case Barehead Slimline Trapper always seemed to be a little bit narrow to me, until I got one. Now it's one of my favorite knives, and I usually carry it in my back pocket. It's slim, light, and thin, but long enough to take care of just about any business needed.

If you want wider, like somebody said earlier, the Queen Mountain Man is both wider and thicker, and (IIRC) I've seen them both in lockback and non-lockback.

+1 On the Slimline Trapper

the case and queen just seem too slim for me. not exactly what i like. im looking for more like full size trapper handle and a single blade.

The Northwoods 23S just crossed my radar this morning, and has my interest peaked. Looks like a MM without a lock. I'd like to see if it's the same thickness/depth/weight/etc. It would be really cool if it were just a tad narrower, thinner, and lighter. Sort of like a really nice, oh, I don't know, Sodbuster? :)
