Personally, I much prefer single bladed knives, aside from my Case Peanuts, and the upcoming Bunny Knife of course (BladeForums knives are a different creature as far as I'm concerned). The rest of my carry knives are all single blades. Will probably be parting with a few SAK's as I just don't carry or use them. Leatherman tools/multitools are in a different class for me.
What say y'all?

Single, without hesitation.
I have a couple (literally two) of knives with 2 blade that I carry maybe a couple times/year - both have blades at each end (opposite enders), and have Wharncliffe mains.

I'm also not a SAK person - though I do have an Alox Solo.

In Traditional patterns, I prefer 2 or 3 blades, with a few exceptions. Because the poll only allows single votes, I voted in the 3-blade category, though I carry 2-blade patterns just about as much.

Really I prefer single-spring, but that usually entails single-blade. Love my GEC possum skinner though, two blades on a single spring. And on something as small as a peanut, at least with typical material thicknesses, I also like a second blade specifically for the second spring. I never use the pen blade on my peanut but I like its spring.

Generally speaking, I prefer single-blade knives except for multi-tools. That said, I do have some two-blade patterns.

I prefer singles. I like the thinness and I just don't have a normal need for different types of blades. I just need some cutting done on various items and my lunch. I did have a thing for canoes for a period but they have blades on each end and a few were off-set to make them more thin.

I voted double blade however I carry a stockman a lot. I would rather carry a single spring knife but would rather use a double spring knife. At least if I’m doing much cutting. I also find a large blade small blade combo or trio pretty useful.

I’m definitely in the minority liking multi blade knives. Since Stockmans comprise the majority of my collection I voted 3. SAK’s have a big part in my carry which definitely put them in the 3+ category. But I do like several 2 bladed knives, especially the mini trapper and a Barlow.

I prefer a large, pinchable single blade for my EDC, but I also have an assortment of multi-bladed knives I use for various pastimes or tinkering around the house. I don’t really carry those, though - I just use them and put them back.

I voted single blade, because I assumed the question was in regard to daily pocket carry.

My most usual carry is a stockman in the RFP and a Vic Evo Grip 14 in another pocket, depending on pants.
Two knives, ten blades/tools. I'm ready!

When I'm just lounging at home I go lightweight, with the forum Viper and a Cadet. Still have five blades/tools.

It's strange how tastes can change over time. When I first started out with traditionals I was always a fan of multi blade patterns but I now prefer single blades because for me they're less obtrusive in the pocket and feel better in hand.

(Quote/end quote)"No single blade profile is "ideal" for everything." (some old man, a long, long time ago, in the 1700's.)
Put another way :"Every blade design is a compromise." (some design engineer said that ages ago.)

Knives with 2 to 6 blades are my first choice, tho I've been known to carry 4 or 5 friction folders or solo blade slipjoints with a different blade profile, from time to time.
