The Kizer Nomad is also a good affordable one in my opinion

Oh and I have a weak spot for the Spyderco Szabo, but it seemed like alot people disliked it and you can't really find it anymore over the pond here.

I have one of the last run. It just kinda feels too big to have every day and with his reinforced lock it's slower to open that other compression locks.

The blade shape and finish are awesome and so is the G10. It would make a cool fixed blade.

Do you have a 0452 or a 0920? How does the size compare to them, since I don't mind carrying either of them.

The Szabo is an odd looking knife though no doubt very effective.

I like some of his stuff - the Szabo Hawk amongst them.

Lots of goodies on the Szabo site BTW.

I have a ZT 0301. It's bigger than that. It feels bigger in pocket than a Spyderco Military.

I really like the BM bedlam. Very nice curves. A sweet knife. I'm very partial to the spyderco szabo, although its not as simple looking as the bedlam

I wish I would like the Axis lock a bit more and would trust BMs QC enough to shell out Bedlam money I love the blade on it but its 300$ here for the satin version and I don't want to take that much of a gamble.

QC of Benchmade, I wont comment. Axis lock, I think is the most innovative lock on a modern folder.

I really hope somebody picks up that Scimitar shape for a knife this year. :)
