Siper - Cobra :-)

I keep looking at the stitching and the sheath in general... Really hats off to you sir.
I just made a trial sheath of three layers of 7 oz leather... I thought I would use the stitching awl... After the first hole I used the dremel drill. Seems like I am a wuss after all. [emoji16]

Don't be too hard for your self ;) There's a trick making it much easier  Before every time you pierce the leather, dump the end of an awl in bee wax, and it goes through like a hot knife though butter :p

My problem with using only the awl is getting the angle and distance right. I'm affraid I might have a perfect line-up on the top layer but the back would get all out of line...

:(

Well, I've got the same problem using dremel drill ;) On folded sheaths I simply can't get a right angle, but with awl, I can correct angle in both directions on every hole, so it's much more precise.

I had the same problem with trying to get straight holes on pouches and belt loops.

This fixed it.

The section cut out is for belt loops to fit into. I hang the fold off the side of the block to get a flat edge.

Hope that makes sense. Not sure how your drill works.
