Dave, the scrim artist is very talented too. Trying to get him to the HI too.
I like scrimshaws very much, but I have to say that I think this one is not up to the knife. The drawing is just not up to the quality of the knife. The lion's body is out of proportion (back is too long), and there's something not quite right going on with the mane on the back of the neck. Maybe this is all due to the pictures, but if not I'm afraid this scrim decimated the value of the knife.
I'm shocked by the positive comments. Am I the only one seeing those issues?
