Jim Siska, knifemaker extraordinaire, and....about as fine a gent as one could hope to meet, passed last year....and, is greatly missed by the knife-folk community here in his home state/area.....

'Vanguard' very-limited-edition series tactical design, and, this one, in a great, small-and-carryable size

- Blade 5+"
- Overall 9.5"
- Blade stock is, I believe, 3V, and over 3/16" thick
- pinned fine-linen black micarta
- Top edge is sharp, but not absolutely so
- double guard, in stainless
- Two sheaths; one by Rowe's Leather, and the other kydex

Overall nice condition; fine microscratches on the guard, which are visible in the proverbial right light/angle, but not felt - blade has been in-and out of the kydex, so effects/kydex scuffing may be visible.
Blade finish has been hand-rubbed to touch-up, and looks pretty durned good, but prolly not to Jim's original standard. {Anything can be rubbed or buffed out all-the-way, if absolute perfection is required...}

Note: I spoke with Jim, once, and he mentioned that, at a show in GA....I believe it was....many moons ago, he was next to Walter Brend, and, asked Walter if he minded if he borrowed the lines used
in some of Walter's pieces (such as the Model 2, etc.) Thus, the 'Brend look' here, both in the grind/blade profile and the double guard.

A nice-sized specimen, of a kool 'n classic tactical series, from a stellar maker, and genuine guy.....

SOLD shipped to the conus
