If I weren't paying for a new AC right now, that bone cutter would be mine. Somebody remove the temptation.

Scary sharp from HI - can cut from looking at it too hard. And i dont yet have a KLVUK. I'll give someone else the chance, at least until the 2 i ordered yesterday arrive.

Email sent for 15 inch 16 ounce Sirupati by Kumar.

Got the Done Deal. I've developed a real taste for the 15"-16" knives. I like the ones like this that are about 1 oz/inch, and also the choppers that are about 2 oz/inch. However, this one will be a present for someone else who has a birthday coming up.

Bubba, you done good, no regrets. Everybody here has at least 1 KLVUK and I'd wager large that they get grabbed first and more often than all the rest combined. A true workhorse with good style and grace.

I have not a single doubt in my mind that your gonna absolutely love it to pieces (well not pieces, doubt it will ever break) but a lot ya know?

Enjoy.

Uh Yeah! I think Mr. B speaks of good experience. No such thing as a KLVUK without a home. Great blade and all around winner:thumbup:

My family called me Bubba till I was about six years old? Dont know why they changed my name when I got in school? I thought my name was Bubba? Messed with my head a bit. Im still not the same;)

LOL, actually I have a BAS and an original Sgt. Bonecutter... seems they needed more company! The KLVUK IS for the wife.

My wife does not condone such behavior. This is why I only bring out two at a time. They all look the same to her.

Right... Many of us gave a Kuk to our better half. Funny thing... Mine never used it(them actually) and I would be curious to know the ratio of use/never used kuks given to wives.
Here's one for using it. She wont let me touch hers 'cept for sharpening and when that time comes (rarely) then it better get done NOW!!! She has a Hasiya as well ya know! She will share that one for some reason. She also has a few Kag kats and a Kumar Karda. She aint beggin for any more but she has enough that she cant totally condemn me for have a "Few Dozen" I made her a pizza cutter too so...well. ya know how that saying goes. cold dead hands. She aint giving that one up for nothin.

Kewl! I gave her an Hasiya too and a small AK. I really thought the baby Hasiya was going to cut it in the garden. (pun intended) but not yet.

She will find another use for it someday dont worry. I hadnt thought about that but a BCAK would be great for my wife. I think she would love it. She loves her Kag Kats. She has one in her purse and one on her table by the couch. I cant touch them:D

Well, I've never given my wife a knife. She's destroyed enough fine kitchen knives, I know better. I doubt HI would guarantee the CAK against her use. I have given her several firearms which she chooses not to use. Perhaps a good thing if she read my posts such as this one.

Wow, we have more in common than I thought. There's a Biltong sitting with the remotes on the table by the couch. It's mine though but for anyone to use and for anything they see fit. :D

I hate to be "that guy" but I just realized after reading this thread that I am not 100% what the measurement on the kukri indicates. For instance the 18" Ang Khola at the top of this page, is that 18" over all length or is that the blade length?

Haven't yet pulled the trigger to get my own kukri but I have been considering getting one for yard work and camping for the past year, I absolutely love their shape and the couple I have held felt amazing in the hand. If this isn't the proper place to post a question like this I apologize profusely, relatively new to posting on the forums and this is my first post on the HI board. Please feel free to let me know where questions like this should be directed in the future.
Thanks in advance for your answers!
