Size comparison between AR and, say an AFCK?

Hello Strider fans! Everything I read about strider folders is that they are BIG, REALLY BIG. I was wondering what size they are compared to something like a Benchmade AFCK. If anyone has a pic of an AR beside something like a Benchmade, Spydie, etc. that would really be great. Thanks guys.

exactly, only more so.
after having an AR, all other liner locks look paper thin!
also keep in mind that the SOB is pretty thick as well.
it's gotta be the most bulletproof folder out there.
cheers,
Derek

Thanks guys :) I'm getting the impression that words just aren't enough to describe the AR.

I just got a comparison pic e-mailed to me by a friendly forumite. Either his SERE 2000 shrunk in the wash, or the AR is more like 2 folders mushed into one giant one! How well does an AR ride in a pocket?

it rides good in baggy shorts and jeans...as long as you don't wear your jeans skin tight. i had a pouch made by SOE for mine, and the guys do a real neat kydex rig for it too.
do it.
get one.
you know you want it.
cheers,
Derek

dwenslen, I'd appreciate it if you could give me more info about your pouch and the SOE rig. I am very intrigued, and find myself slipping uncontrollably in Strider Knives' direction...

The SOE pouch is nylon with a fastex clip. It look like a mag pouch and has a belt loop with a velcro backsiding. Its very well made and very secure. SOE makes the best nylon gear around, here is their website www.soegear.com The kydex rig holds the AR/GB in the tip up position. It snaps in and out, and has a tek-lok. I think that these are included with the folders now. BTW I highly recommend the SOE rigger belt. I love mine and use itregularly.

I was searching old threads and found this one. It shows a Sebenza beside a Strider folder. I thought I'd bring it up in case others want to see.
