I'm making a frame-handle construction knife where the interior piece is not as thick as the tang of the knife, and the inletted scales are straddling the tang to meet the interior piece. Right now, with the routing done on one scale and not the other, it looks like I'll have approximately 1/64" more depth in the inletting than needed for the thickness of the tang. Should I adjust the depth of the router on the other side a tiny bit to make it fit exactly, or leave the gap as room for epoxy? I'm using West Systems G/flex. I know it'll work either way, I just didn't know if it'd be a stronger glue joint if I let it have a little room to not squeeze out quite so much, or if 1/64" is WAY too large a gap. Corby bolts through the tang will be providing the real strength but I like as much backup in my construction as I can get. :)

Ahah---well, currently at .016, making .008 per side of the tang, so I guess leaving it right where it is would be the way to go. Thanks much!
