Thanks to your advices, I'm saving money to buy a large regular Sebenza : the order is send and I'm waiting for my new buddy ! :D

This after twelve, I was reading the CRK web site. They give two different blade sizes for the Sebenza 3.5" (on the Sebenza presentation page) and 3.625" (on the Sebenza price list page).

Which one is the right size ? There are two different kind of measurments ? (cutting length and overall blade lenght)

Thank in advance, have a nice day !

Large Sebenza has a 3.5 inch blade. I'm pretty sure that the measurement is the cutting edge. Maybe you misread? The small Sebenza has a blade length of 2.87".

Wow! You are right, on the price list it says blade length 3.6". Not once but twice. I always thought that they were 3.5". Chris has said that if you need a blade larger that 3.5" you should have a fixed blade. Maybe it's a typo? I'll have to look into it.   ;) :D :p

Do you think it is a mistake ?
It is not a very important lenght différence. I think I will keep the 3.5" value in mind. Let me know if you have any other informations. (it is my natural curiosity :D )

Regards

I think that it must be an error. I have never heard of a large that was anything but 3.5". CRK sets up their process to make one type of blade. To change the blade size would require a rather tedious chore of changing the CNC code. To change the blade size would have been cause for plenty of debate in this forum and Chris would have made an announcement. He doesn't just change things and he doesn't just do a few larger than the normal. The larger blade size would change everything, the handle would have to be larger ect. Also the belt pouch wouldn't fit. I agree that the length is not that much bigger but a good educated guess would be that there was a mistake made in the printing of the Sebenza price list. I have never heard of a large larger than 3.5" and I keep up with what goes on at CRK. But like you said, the size difference won't change your desicion to buy.

Looking at my large regular Sebbie and my large Classic Sebbie, the Classic is slightly longer in blade length. About 3/64". The slimmer shape of the handle and blade design attribute to that I suppose. Same goes with the small Classic and Regular Sebenza's. I prefer the regular Sebbie for every day carry with it wider blade profile. More agressive for cutting IMO.

He's right... that refers to the Classic and Regular blades.. The Classics are a little bit larger.
