The Echelon came in, and it's fantastic once you take the spring out. With the spring, it's hard to open and feels a little junky. Once I took out the spring, cleaned off the factory grease, polished the washers, and nano-lubed it, it's centered, smooth, and solid with no play. Very nice. That's one of the best de-assists I've ever seen! Usually there's some kind of centering or blade play issue, but that went just fine.

So, that one's a keeper, and I don't really need to even bother with the SJ75 anymore. I'm looking forward to the Haddock, though, as I might main-carry it given how unique and hardy it is while still having that super fine edge.

Most successful suggestion thread ever.

I had an eschelon for a little while, it was a nice knife. If you post a picture of the thumb stud/cut out on yours I can tell you what version you have.
