SJT vs HR

It has been said before, the Company Store photos don't do the Hell Razor justice....of coarse I don't have one yet. I didn't like the look of it till I saw other peoples pictures of it. Mainly the fish gutting thread.I have still yet to hear if I scored anything for the Extravaganza...the Mud Razor was on my list, and I can't afford them both. So to all you with HR's keep posting pictures and I just may have to get a second job to support this growing habbit.

Great reviews and comments! Makes me really glad I got a Mud Razor and wishing I had the $$ to go ahead and pick up an HR before the Store runs out.

I agree with those who said that this may be the next classic. It took me this long to really "take" to this knife- didn't care for the shape of the blade (to much spear point), didn't like the corrugations, didn't like the carving of the spine- but at the same time a little voice was saying "This one may grow on you". And so it has. I like it pretty well now, and I bet as time goes on, more and more people will- especially since all you hear is strong positives from the people using them. Same with the Pork Belly- strange looking knife, but everyone I've talked to who has one raves about it and tells me to get one. Kind of like when everybody hated the look of the new Dodge truck way back when- now everybody has copied it.

How lucky are we that the same guy who is so good at steel is also such an excellent blade designer! Gotta say "Thanks again, Jerry!"

Good "points (ha)," MVF. As I mentioned in a previous post this thread, for my uses IMHO, the spear point is great for field versatility. In this case, the blade is wide enough to allow a spear point and at the same time have generous belly for slicing/skinning.
