Time to thin out the safe, move some duplicates, and make way for new knives!

Here are a half dozen of the most useful Busse designs ever conceived, all with approx. 6.5” blades and each design available in two flavors:

From left-to-right above:

1. Mole Jack with kydex (no teklok) -- $350 Sold Pending Funds to Bullett247
This SJTAC model has a unique heat-resistant coating and was a limited run. New/unused with typical kydex smoothing on coating.

2. Banned/modded SJTAC with dark brown Chuddy leather -- $450
Round-butt and straight-spine modded, full Ban satin/convex treatment. Received in trade--unused since Ban worked it over is my understanding. SHARP!

3. Skinny ASH1 in sage/black micarta with black Armorall leather -- $375
New, unused with typical sheath-smoothing on the coating.

4. ASH1 LE No. 322 with golden brown Armorall leather -- $515 Sold Pending Funds to tfo
New, unused with faint scratches on blade from sheath, handle has been oiled and is drying out. Refresh with mineral oil, wash/scrub dry, or if you just leave it as is, it will gradually dry out.

5. Basic/Euro 6, M-INFI, plain edge with kydex/nylon sheath -- $350
Rare limited run w/logo. Thickness approx. .26”. Minor smoothing from sheath.

6. Basic/Euro 6, M-INFI, partially serrated with kydex/nylon sheath -- $350
Rare limited run, sterile. Thickness approx. .26”. Minor smoothing from sheath.

Thanks for the interest. I'm overloaded with knives right now and am not actively looking for much, other than possibly a mint Dogfather LE. Bottom line, chances of my being receptive to trades are pretty low.

All knives still for sale.

Thanks again,
Will

I’ve had some inquiries asking the difference between an everyday SJTAC and the Mole Jack offered above. Here are a few comments from idahoskunk on this Busse Company Store exclusive from a few years back:

“Totally sterile, mission sterile…special heat resistant coating…only time (produced only one time) and very limited (production), .187 thick, … very nicely done and a special extra sharp “Mole Edge”…very few, very nice, very….. center of the earthly.”

Bottom Line: If you want a SJTAC, why not own the one that offers a little something more? :) :D

Ban's mod looks nice.

How thick is the modded SJTAC and what kind of handles does it have ?

What's the overall length now ?

Is it satin, stripped, or coated under the handles ?

Thanks.

Hi Shunsui,

Thickness is about .180" right in front of the handle slabs and about .170" halfway to point. These are the original black canvas micarta slabs, just modded to fit the straightened spine and round-butt tang.

Overall length 11 3/8". Blade length from slab to point 6 3/8".

I don't know what's underneath the handles.

Thanks,
Will

Basic/Euro 6 looks very nice..... how big is the knife?

6 1/2" blade, .26" thick (beefy), with full-size desert Resiprene-C handle. Approximately same size handle as on a Basic 7/9 or Dogfather. Overall length approx. 12". Similar to a Basic 7 with a tad thicker, shorter blade and clip point (no swedge grind).

My understanding is that these were a military overrun for a European country's special forces--much rarer than the standard black Basics. At $350 with nylon/kydex sheath, I think these are a steal.

Thanks,
Will

Hi
What is the blade width of the ash1 le. Also what color are the handles, cant quite tell from the picture.

Blade thickness on the LE is quoted at .22". Handles are tigerhide linen micarta, black-and-brown layered, and have been oiled. They are drying out, which causes them to have that "indefinite" color. You can either oil them again with mineral oil to freshen/deepen the color, scrub them with soap and water and let dry to return to original, or just leave them as they are and if you don't use them they will eventually dry out to original. If you use the knife, the micarta will pick up the oils from your hands over time and take on a nice, deep non-shiny luster and the colors will show up richly.
