SK 501

Nice, not bad for burlap, I like that the weaving runs parallel with the angle of the bolster.
 
Like it a lot. The highly polished micarta looks a little slick, but I guess that’s appropriate for this style of knife.

How about a brown leather sheath to go with it?

Is this only available in burlap? I was going to order one from the custom shop; but I like the barehead option.

It's not available at all, yet. I think later this summer was the timeline.
 
Forgive the poorly phrased question...I understand it isn't available yet; I was just wondering if burlap was the only cover. I fully understand the value of keeping special runs simple; so I'm not really expecting a choice. Too bad the custom shop doesn't offer a barehead. (I'd be in for a barehead 501 in buckeye burl)

D DocT - blade steel is yet to be determined.

They have a run of a specific configuration. So there's only one option available. I've been wrong before though (just ask my wife). If this one sells out quickly, SK would probably come up with something else. Which I'm all for :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
Just chiming back in hoping at some point, one day, there is a clip point option for the 501 :rolleyes::p:D

Still quite excited about the barehead 501 coming out :thumbsup:
