SKBlades Update and New 722 Spitfire

I got my Extreme Spitfire today. I must say, this thing is even nicer in person. The black handles are a perfect match for the dark, distressed hardware. The Extreme Spitfire feels just as solidly built as my standard Spitfire. The knife came with a hair popping edge. I think it's an elegant looking knife. If anyone is on the fence about getting one, hop off that fence and get one. ;)

Me too! I'm really happy and impressed with mine. I like how slim it is- it's sharp and looks great too! I'm glad I ordered one finally. Thanks SK!

The unused holes for the clip are plugged. What do I need to convert the knife to left pocket tip up. Being a lefty I'd like to set it up as such.
Otherwise, beautiful knife. That it's under 60 bucks is still unbelievable. I'm not one to admire tools much but that Spitfire is about as fine looking knife I'll probably ever own. Don't know of any knives that look as fine, matter of taste obviously, but to me, it's as nice as it gets.

Here's a pic of the set screws. Sure looks like it would be an Allen screw to me. I had to use my flashlight to get it bright enough to snap a pic. I hope you can make it out.

Thank you, well I need a new set of Allan wrenches anyway. I'd sure like to know what size those are called to insure I get a set with a small enough wrench.

I was going to find out what size it was and let you know. I thought I had a wrench small enough to work. I have a nice set with some pretty small ones, but apparently none that small. :o So, I guess I'd like to know what size I need, too.

I wanted to give everyone a heads up on the new Extreme Spitfire. The "spare" clip holes that allow you to adjust and move the clip have been filled with tiny set screws. The Allen Wrench measurement required to remove them is:

.035"

Let me know if you have any further questions!

skblades I received my order and your Buck "Extreme" Spitfire is even better in the hand, Great knife with great service. Thanks
Bob

SK, thanks for the info on those allen screws. I just have to get those tools to make the change now, which will be sometime next week I think as I'm having trouble finding an Allen that small in the stores, luckily there's that river site which will probably have what I need when I've exhausted all the local stores.
I very much appreciate the effort you've given us, thanks.

Muze.1 made these videos for me, and I've been trying to open it like that ever since. I think he just might be a ninja. I have no idea how he did that!

I was more impressed with him sticking it into the plywood! That's not easy.

I have one on the way. My Orange Spitfire is lightweight, easy to carry and easy to open one handed. It's ergonomic in the hand with great thumb placement. The only thing missing was stealthiness for personal protection and a better steel blade. The SK Spitfire took care of that. Thanks man. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Best place to find Allen wrenches that size is McMASTER-CARR :)

Do you have a Harbor Freight near you? It turns out I do have something small enough to get those set screws out. I forgot I even had it. It's just a cheapo screwdriver set. I have their Pittsburgh Pro 34 pc. Precision Screwdriver set. The item number is 93916. It has a hex head small enough to get the set screws out. I'd post a link, but I don't know if it would break the rules or not.

If you can, send me the link you found and I'll send out an email blast to our subscribers. Could be helpful! Thanks!
