Hello,
My buddy has a pair of those and the Vibram fivefingers shoes. We had a hike coming up and he decided to use the Fivefingers for it. He's a ultra light snob and was giving me a hard time about using some running shoes on the hike. The hike was going to be two days and about 30 miles round trip. The first 5 miles had 3 river crossings but the water level was low so there was a lot of exposed river rocks. On the second river crossing he took a bad step and went down. Something wasn't right with his left foot so we took a little break so he could see what was wrong. The water was really cold and he was completely wet, his feet and hands were numb. His baby toe was purple and swollen but he wanted to keep going. We went another mile or so and he had to stop, we ended up turning around to go back to the car. The next day he went to the doctors for x-rays, two breaks in his little toe. Im not saying it was the shoes fault but the lack of protection and support probably didn't help. He still uses them regularly and likes them a lot. For some reason they smell so bad and he always has toe socks on. If your in a car or even the same room with him you can smell his feet, kinda nasty. Ill stick with my Nikes and Adidas.
Watch your step,
Chris
