Hello dear friends,
With God's good will today i present you a fully fitted Skiagusta 'Tony' - a full size, titanium frame lock folder that incorporates all our available features.
This will serve as a 'handsome' workhorse with classic lines and minimalist appearance; with only necessary 'complications' this design aims to eliminate as much as possible the possibility of failure.
Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a pure beast in it's own rights - pure performance and functionality.
An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.
Very nice 'click' sounds.
All screws are precision machined black oxide steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use. The stainless steel thumb stud is custom made 'in house'.
The blade slides on phosphorous bronze ultra thin washers with grease pockets - for it's self lubricating capabilities.
The blade is made using the high carbon W2 steel (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy
), with a high flat grind and stonewashed finish. The blade comes razor sharp.
The blade is nicely centered.
