Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you a novelty in our portfolio - a full size, titanium frame lock folder - this will be the main model we will be offering from now on with few variations/customization options - 'Skiagusta' (Custom - one off).

This will serve as a 'handsome' workhorse with classic lines and minimalist appearance; with only necessary 'complications' this design aims to eliminate as much as possible the possibility of failure.
Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a pure beast in it's own rights - pure performance and functionality.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder. 1/8 thick stock and the spring with a slight recess has a very strong action (beware if you have sensible fingers :)) that offers a crisp and super strong lock - 8 degrees face lock angle was used.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations. The face of the spring lock is left rough in order to better 'grab' on the blade and assure the safety of the user (it feels a very slight stick so know if you do not like such things but i consider it an excellent small compromise for the advantage it offers).
Very nice 'click' sounds - might not be of interest but i am a 'click snob' into folders :D

All screws are precision machined Grade 5 Titanium, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on washers - a 'pocket grease' oversized one on the frame side and a plain ultra thin one on the spring size - brass both for it's self lubricating capabilities. Back spacer is brass, 1/8" lanyard hole.

The clay hardened blade features a nice 'foggy' hamon and is made using the high carbon, ultra clean and ultra hard Wolfram Special carbon steel at 64 hrc (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy :D - might offer stainless alternatives in the future but not sure yet), with a high flat grind and satin finish. The blade comes razor sharp.
The blade is nicely centered and the knife can be flipped (to some extent) even though it is not meant for that but to be a tight and tough user.

(Custom - one off) - key features on top of the Standard version:

- 'Lava flow' FAT carbon handmade scale plate.
- clay hardened blade - foggy hamon

OAL - 7.87", Blade - 3.55"

P.S: the lock angle of this specific blade is a little higher giving it a smoother action and making it a better 'gent folder' that a rough workhorse ;)

The price for this knife is 290 usd.

All the best, God bless,
Bogdan

I just received this knife's brother and it is excellent in every way. Its kind of special after accumulating folders over a decade. My first special was a knife made by Alan Davis and Bogdan's bookends it quite nicely. Oddly enough for all my purchases these two seem the most utilitarian and daily pocket carry ready. Its a five star purchase.
