Hello dear friends,
With God's good will today i present you a novelty in our portfolio - a full size, titanium frame lock folder - 'Skiagusta' Ultra Slim+Ultra Light clip point (one of a kind/Custom +)
This will serve as a 'handsome' workhorse with classic lines and minimalist appearance; with only necessary 'complications' this design aims to eliminate as much as possible the possibility of failure.
Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a pure beast in it's own rights - pure performance and functionality.
An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder. 1/8 thick stock and the spring with a slight recess has a very strong action (beware if you have sensible fingers
) that offers a crisp and super strong lock - 9 degrees face lock angle was used.
The other scale is made using high quality Toray carbon fiber for it's ultra light and ultra strong properties and of course for an eye catcher look + a gorgeous piece of genuine mammoth molar that shows magnificent colors and a wonderful in depth effect.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations. The face of the spring lock is left rough in order to better 'grab' on the blade and assure the safety of the user (it feels a very slight stick so know if you do not like such things but i consider it an excellent small compromise for the advantage it offers).
Very nice 'click' sounds - might not be of interest but i am a 'click snob' into folders
All screws are precision machined black oxide steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on bronze ultra thin washers - for it's self lubricating capabilities.
The blade is made using High carbon Wolfram Special tool steel at 64 hrc that looks fantastic and cuts like crazy. The blade comes razor sharp.
The blade is nicely centered.
US/UL one of a kind/Custom+ features on top of Standard:
- This is the lightest integral knife possible in it's class/dimensions (less the skeletonized frames/blades)
- Sunken screws for an ultra slim profile
- Ultra slim bronze washers again to help maintain the profile thickness to bare minimum.
- 'Ghetto' stonewashed Ti finish
- Toray carbon fiber scale + a gorgeous piece of genuine mammoth molar that shows magnificent colors and a wonderful in depth effect.
- Titanium double side thumb stud
Titanium custom pocket clip can be added for 15 usd.
