Hi all,
Please be 21 to purchase and know your local knife laws. Price includes shipping (US only, please) and PayPal G&S fees. I reserve the right to sell to whomever I choose, but generally the first “I’ll take it” here followed by a PM gets the knife. Thanks for looking!
Skiff Accomplice (#148): This is Skiff's larger model with a clip point blade (vs the Culprit or the sheepsfoot Drifter). It is a superb knife, but I have to make some difficult decisions with my collection at the moment. This one is essentially like new in pouch. I've handled and flipped it a bit and have put some KPL in the pivot. The pivot did start to walk shortly after getting this knife, so I have also added some blue locktite to the pivot screw with no issue since. I haven't cut anything with it. I can't find any marks on it. This one has the milled pivot collar, blurple ano, and a backspacer. Backspacer has a more matte finish than I've seen on some other Skiffs -- it's a bit of a fingerprint magnet (oils in the photo, not marks). The knife also sports Skiff's new "vapor blast" finish, which is brighter/more polished than his traditional finish. Blade is a beautiful hand-rubbed finish with a tremendous edge. The bevel does widen near the tip (see photos), since the grind is performed in a way to leave a little meat behind the tip. This is a beautiful piece, but could also be a serious worker. Solid centering, rock-solid lockup. Action is similar to a Skiff Drifter that I had previously, but seems amplified in the larger model. The detent is stiff, but not in an unpleasant way, and it results in the blade rocketing out on deployment with a serious *thwack*. Makes my Holt Specter and Shiro F95 sound tame compared to this guy! Glassy smooth close -- note that Skiff models intentionally do not drop shut like a Holt or Grimsmo. They have a controlled, smooooooth closing per Steve Skiff's preference. I like drop shut actions, but this is quite lovely as well.
Asking sold for this one. Thanks for looking!
