If you have never heard of Al Foster, at least look at these images of his work - he has been making knives full time for over 25 years, doesn't go to shows, just sells ALL his knives to customers who keep coming back for more. Most of his customers use his knives, but they are so superbly made, and so beautiful, it's always been hard for me to imagine them as user knives. He puts a mirror finish on a blade that is second to none.
This knife, the Buffalo Skinner, has a couple of problems, but not if you want about the best skinner money can buy for a user knife. Note the images in the second post. The clearly show a pin that has some pitting surrounding it. Al's pins just do not show. Something went wrong on this one during it's 14 year duration in my safe, and you can have it for half what he sells this knife for today. THERE WILL BE NO PRICE DROPS, PERIOD.
