Here is a knife that fits in the hand like an old glove. With the large brass bolster, the balance is toward the handle making the knife lay in the hand with the blade facing downward, ready for use.

1/8 inch ATS34 heat treated to Rc 58-60 with a cryogenic quench
Mirror finish
Hollow ground with a slight clip at the point
Kingwood handle (I don't know much about this wood but I am guessing that it is a rosewood. At least that is the way it shaped and finished)
Overall length: 8 1/4 inches
Blade: 3/3/4 inches
Hand sewn leather scabbard

$180 THE KNIFE IS SOLD plus $6 shipping to the lower US. Paypal and money order accepted. I will take your check if you don't mind waiting for is to clear before I ship.

A little higher priced than most of my other knives but I took the extra time to taper the tang and dovetail the bolster to the handle. (I just wanted to show my favorite customer and toughest critic that it could be done!)

Wow, 200 views and not one response. I'll be first to say thats a damn good looking piece of work. Brass isn't really my thing but I love the way everything fits together with the dovetailed bolsters.

Very nice work Gerry. Yet another salient demonstration of your skill in the area of fit and finish. Heck, I'm having trouble fitting a guard onto a narrow tang fighter I've been working on...actually ....come to think of it....the trouble is just finding time to work on it:D

Thanks for the comments guys. This knife is sold. Thanks Flyinrock!

I personally prefer not having the distal taper in the tang. Nonetheless, that's a great looking knife. The dovetailed bolster really puts it over the top!

I sincerely thank the buyer for saving me from myself!!!

Gerry, one of these days I'm going to move up to one of your full size knives.

The dovetailed bolster and tapered tang elevate the piece. Those are the kind of details that set you apart from other makers.
