Back in my youth this stile of knife was simply called a skinner. There has been a resurgence of interest in Nesmuck's little book on camping, and since then Nesmuck's name has been attached to this type of knife.
Triple tempered O-1 tool steel. 4" blade, 9 1/8" overall, 1/8" thick with a high flat grind. Handle scales are lace wood finished in an old fashion gun stock oil finish. Complete with hand tooled sheath
