Skinning knife

No, I haven't, I was putting on a "standard" edge if you can call it that. A simple wedge obtained on a progressively finer stone. I sharpen free hand so I assume I do get some movement during sharpening but I have a steady hand so it shouldn't be to bad...just not like you would get off an apex pro of some machine of the sort.

I wouldn't want to go to fancy on the edge... The fella doing the skinning normally sharpens the knives himself. Even the 4000 norton which I finished his edge with was probably overkill.
