I was inspired by Noss's destruction test to give my freshly sharpened skinny CGFBM a workout today. At first I was concerned that I had thinned out my edge too much with my ill fated convex attempt. NO WORRIES though this girl may be thin but she can hang with the "fat uns" all day!

These slices were made using only the tip area of the knife AFTER the stab/pry test

Looks like you had some real fun there. Keep lovin' your Mistress like that and she'll never let you down!

Wow. After some beating, that urbane-grey looks very industrial. Sort of like 1960's vintage shop machinery.

WOW!! That tip held up!!!! That was pretty well thinned out and about 3000 percent more stabby than factory and you dug through a board with it!!:eek::eek: Woot!!

Polished Convex rules. :D And I hope everybody sees how deep it bit with each chop in that wood.

I sure don't claim to have invented convexed polished edges but I have put a LOT of work into developing a method for creating them and this photo shoot provides some vindication.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!

+1 on that, the grey looks awesome when it's all beaten up. I may get some grey coating just based on these pics. Haven't tried it yet. Pretty cool!

+1 on some urban grey! (#'s 1 and 4 in the right column).

Seems the FFBM test from Noss has inspired some Busse beatings.
I'm quickly coming to the realization from these posts that these things can take way more than I even dared dish out. I'm off to find some bricks...;)

not to mention people gobbling them up on the exchange

I wanna see someone stand on it. By hammering the blade into a strudy post and standing on it like a ladder.

Great pics, and that edge looks WICKED :thumbup:

Also loving the urban grey:cool:
