Skinny NMFSH?

Can anyone out there compare a CGNMFBM to the FBM LE? Both thick, both full height flat ground. I had the FBM LE and let it go.

I second this! they are so close as far as length is concerned. I know someone is going to make a video (I forget who at the moment) but until then some initial thoughts would be welcome.

Without having a fbmle in front of me, I can say with upmost certainty that the cutting edge is MUCH thinner........and rain AGAIN today so not able to use this yet

This is what I imagine hell to be. New chopper and can't go chop, big plate of cookies and no milk.

Gravelface,

Are you referring only to the way the edge is sharpened on the NMFSH (relative to the FBMLE) or to the general taper of the blade grind, say for the last half inch (or so) near the cutting edge?

Looking forward to hearing from you after the rain stops!

John

The entire taper from spine to edge. The amount of material right behind the cutting edge is thinner. This thing seems like it will cut like a light saber!!! The balance is incredible, weight seems spot on, and this edge is incredible......just have to get out and use it now.

I agree 100%! And i got rained out today, too.:grumpy:
And i would buy a skinny, too.
What i would really love to see is a full flat nmfbm at about .220".
