That's a sweet knife you've got there Hollowdweller!

I wish I would hear back from him soon... I need a knife by the first week of March!!!

I ordered 2 over a month ago.....................He told me about 6 months to wait when I ordered them. I am sure that he is just over ordered and has to keep on grinding. I can't wait!!!!! Thanks for the pics Hollowdweller. Gene

He told me 5 weeks and that was about what it took plus or minus. But that was before that article in Tactical Knives and before there started to be as much of a buzz about them.

Mine's a nice knife:thumbup: I'm also real interested in seeing how the mass order of Bushcraft blades that Dan Koster is making. It won't have the welded on buttcap like the Skookum, but if the handle is contoured decently a knife like that for less than a hundred bucks is really excellent.

Baron,

I responded to your first email October 26th and sent out another this morning so there must be something wrong on your end. I have your specs. down in the order book but can't guarantee a finish date for your trip.

If you would like I can call you at the number you sent with your order, just give me the word.
Thanks,

Rod Garcia

So far my Skookum Bush Tool is my favorite bushcraft knife. I have a O1 with natural micarta on order. It is worth the wait.

I'm taking my A2 Skookum with me this summer to Karamat Wilderness Ways, Mors Kochanski's Summer Wilderness Living Skills/Survival Course

Ahh Man! Post pics of THAT for sure!!!

Thanks Rod!

Yeah, looks like I need to go back and check the "Bulk" mail to see if Yahoo stuck it in there, because I definitely never got (or saw) it.

If you don't mind, I would appreciate a call if you could - You've got my number.

Thanks for the reply...

Good to hear Myakka; I ordered mine from here in Iraq and will be home in the next couple of weeks after my 14+ month tour....really looking forward to it! I must say that Rod was a pleasure to work with and really helped out in deciding the details. Mine is 01 with tan Micarta.
