I occasionally see reference to off the menu pieces and am wondering where I could get the info on some of Strider's more peculiar and ambitious works. Or is everything on the website and I'm not looking hard enough?

Thats a hard one.
We have made all kinds of ....things...
We need an archivist.

I've got the S-2001 and now am looking to get a middle weight fixed blade w/serrations between 8 to 10 inches overall length. The MT-10 caught me offguard because I didn't know it existed when I was on the website looking at the EB series and the HT. I need the midlength for carry on or in a vest for the field (as in military not camping). Depending on the selection I would also want option of carrying it upside down on the vest.

The bullet-proof feel of my S-2001 is why I abandoned looking at other brands. But before I order I would like to know what other configurations Strider has in that length. I might stop by the shop if I can get down there - but any other suggestions would be mucho appreciated? Ready to buy!

thanks!

 ;)

(P.S. much as I admire the twisted disturbing genius of the Tigerclaw I know that I won't be needing a shortened version of that...)

I would say MT-10 or the HT. Vinnie P. has some HT's for sale right now I think. Strider is cranking out some MT-10's too, but you will probably not see any that aren't accounted for. Go with the HT from Vinnie. I've used one just as you mentioned on my vest inverted for a while and really think you can't beat it.

yes, the MT-10 is a 10 inch long strider, it looks exactly the same as the MT just .75 inches shorter on each end. I have one and its my favorite knife, i like it better then the fullsize MT (which would be why i have my MT-SS up in the trading forums) it just feels more natural in my hand.

oh, BTW im almost positive that the MT in the upper right of the strider homepage is an MT-10 (if you look you can see that the ramp is facing up so you can put your thumb on it in the reverse icepick grip)
