Figured I would post a pic of these here as there had been a bit of talk about it.

Here is a Skyline that I just finished reprofiling into a tanto shape. I then did a regrind on it. I think it turned out pretty good. Can't wait for my customer to get it. Looking forward to his thoughts once its in hand.

What do you all think??

I'm not a fan of tantos but that one could change my mind. Nice work Tom...I'm sure the owner will be very happy with it.
 
... so on my way home, and after talking to Tom while driving, i say to myself wow i can't wait till i get my knife back so i can show these suckers on the forum what a Tanto Skyline is...

and Tom beats me to it! :eek:

I think it's sweet! :D wonder how it flips...

Looks really good, Tom:thumbup: I have several Skylines laying around my shop. I may have to send one over;)
 
I love these regrinds. If anyone thinks they might like to have a knife pattern they already love turned into a slicer.... do it. The regrind is worth every penny.
 
Awesome regrind, I like how the blade has a new profile and yet some of the original lines show through. Looks great with the black G10, too.
 
I hate all tantos... except that one:D:thumbup:. What a beautiful knife and a excellent re-grind job. Tom outstanding work as usual. Qqfob congrats on the knife.

Without derailing this thread, have you done anything with the S60V blem you bought from Dave? There are a bunch of us here waiting to see how you treated this one.
