Ordered the Kid's 'hawk on Tuesday from Ragweed Forge. It was shipped the same day, got it yesterday. Sharp, light, looks very well-made. Haven't cut anything with it yet, but with luck will try it this weekend.

How's the 'kids hawk' working out for you? I like the looks of this one.

Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Took a few swings at some old treated 2x6s. Good penetration. The head is nice, light and prety sharp. The handle is too small in diameter for my taste. It is advertised as the "Kid's Hawk", so I guess that makes sense. Overall, I'm pleased with what I've seen so far.

I thought it looked like a good fighting hawk (too light for throwing) but don't relly have a need for another hawk that I can't have at the Academy. How is the grind on the blade? I know my CS hawk is way too thickly ground, and a the blades is warped, too. I assume QC is pretty good on this one?

Quality appears excellent. The edge is thinly ground, and does not need reworking to make it useable.
