Sleek Hanson Fighter w/Blue Ivory

That must have been off to be photographed as I didn't see it when I was at Don's table.

Congrats Kevin!

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Stunningly gorgeous

How thick is the ricasso, Kev? 1/4"?

Congrats to you Kev! And congrats to Don as well!

.. must have one of Don Hanson's great work ;)

mohd.

Thanks mohd, it's just a hair on the wide side of 3/16".

the gold pin strikes again!:D
that's gonna be a Kevin Jones signature

Apart from that, this knife leaves me pretty much speechless. Saying its anything at this point seems an understatement.

I have some serious envy right now.

Lorien, the single gold pin is Don's "signature", however I like to use it in designs whenever possible. This baby that the Bruce Bump is currently creating for me will have (6) gold doomed pins. Yep, I feel they add classic elegance to the right piece. It's at Jere Davidson's being engraved now, then the pieces are on to Doug Turnbull to be color case hardened. Can't wait, I've wanted a Bruce Bump piece for a long time. He's doing a "WIP" on another forum.

Just stunning. I have yet to see a knife of Don's that I did not like, but this one is extra special.

Don's stuff truly is greatness

No matter what he does you can tell his work

Congrats Kevin

This is a really cool knife - as much of a pleasure to handle as it is to look at. Like we discussed at the show, I think Don is on to something with that full length, sharpened top clip. It works so well with his signature style straight blades. The ivory handle is amazing.

The sharpened top clip and the tapered frame handle construction added to one of Don's fighters just makes this an awesome knife, Kevin! Congratulations on a super addition to your collection. As Buddy states, Don's fixed blades not only impress in the images, they impress in the hand.

Thank you guys for ALL the kind words.
I know Don will appreciate them too. He's away from the internet for a few days.

Coop really did an exceptional job in capturing the beauty and detail of the ivory and damascus.

Another spectacular knife as would be expected from Don. The damascus as usual is super and the ivory, what can i say. Pretty good representation of the quality of ivory Don is known for as is the whole nice.

Great get Kevin.

Congratulations, Jon

That's an incredible piece. The ivory sends it over the top. Congratulations to both you and Don.

I'm back :D

Thank you, Kevin! Thank you, Coop! And thanks to all, for the good words.

Guess, I need to get back in the shop now :)
