Did a little streamlining on my 7 to make it high speed and low drag...

Ground off the ramp, trimmed down and polished the finger guard. Cleaned up the tool marks and polished the tang. Squared the spine to make it throw sparkies in bunches.....
and of course, added a choil.

Man, I like that one a lot! I need to get a 7 and do that without the choil. I have been looking at them and thinking about the mod to the finger guard.
 
i was thinking of taking off the finger guard on mine, but now in really diggin the thumb ramp removal....

The 7 is one those knives I don't know what I would do with. That said, that doesn't stop me from wanting one, because they look pretty awesome.

Thinking about having a choiler's gathering here. Snake toss will be played around the campfire, followed by the 100yd dash. Shotguns only.
 
That 7 looks awesome, I wish I had the tools/skills to pull that off.

How did you get your micarta that color? The set I got with the BK10 LE is farmers tan white!

I put some Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil on it, but just about any kind of oil will darken it. There are guys that stain and dye it as well.
