• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Sleeping Bag

I have 3 Wiggy's bags, the Desert, Overbag and Ultra-light. I use them 12 months out of the year. I absolute recommend them and I can't speak highly enough for their ability to drape and retain warmth when wet. They're a bit bulky but they have lasted me for season after season.

I keep my bag in a compression sack in my WASP pack always ready to go. Most manufacturers say you shouldn't leave your bag compressed for extended periods of time...with the Wiggys it mitigates the compression and still works...at least mine does in sub zero temps in high mtn blizzards while sleeping in a tarp shelter.

Several years ago I had a Wiggy's bag and kept it in a compression sack in my truck. It sat in the sack all winter and I took it out in the spring for a camping trip...after a week it still hadn't lofted up. I imagine that the fill material in mine was different than what they use now but even back then they said it wouldn't hurt it to keep it compressed. Needless to say, that was the last time I left a sleeping bag in a compression sack for any longer than necessary.
