Sleepless...

there is one last thing to say, and that is that I unfortunately did not get to everyone's table and include photos of their work.
To these craftspeople; please accept my apologies for not getting to you, it wasn't because your work didn't merit coverage, it was because I'm probably too chatty and ran too low on time.
It was my main goal to get a complete picture, and I only got about 92% :(

Thanks Lorien. This was a great write up and I enjoyed reliving the experience. Thanks for all the effort to put this together.. I saw you making the rounds and lingering at most tables, I didn't realize how extensive your coverage of the show was going to be.. Excellent review.

Your coverage of the show is unbelievably superb.
Thank you including me and the knives I had in the show.
Unfortunately I had to go home when you took the pictures because I left a few of my knives at home.
I did not have to go all the way to Hungary since I live in Seattle in Edmonds.
I was here, (Kornel Tolnai) and I am not the maker of the knives I had. The maker is Csaba Vojko who could not be here but will be next year. I only represented him.

Thank you for the photo safari of the knife show! I could here the laughter and feel the fellowship amongst all of the makers and guests. I hope to make that show someday.
 
Absolutely fantastic thread Lorien! You're getting pretty good with that camera gizmo :) sorry I haven't chimed in earlier. This was an awesome show from start to finish. We are definitely going again next year. It was really great meeting you in person, and I'm just bummed that there were not enough hours in the days to have all the conversations I wanted.
Dave and Andrea Lisch threw an incredible "pre-funk" that was a real highlight for me, and a big thanks to them for their amazing hospitality. I had an absolute blast at the show meeting new friends and reconnecting with old. I won't even begin to list all the great conversations I had, but you all know who you are. Big thanks to Daniel, Bill, and the Bladegallery crew for putting on this outstanding event. ...already looking forward to next year.

thanks Adam, and I totally agree- I missed having some time to converse. Maybe we could have a phone interlude between now and next year. Just heard of this gizmo that makes calling the US really cheap....I'll drop a line either way, though :)

what a great time so far, it's so good to see old friends! The PreFunk seemed a little busier than last year.
I'll start up a new thread for this year's show when we're back home. In the meantime, please enjoy last year's photos.
Gotta say, this new venue is awesome! Bellevue is pretty sweet.
Can't wait for tomorrow :)
