Bigger than a paring knife and not a deep as a chef but very useful in the kitchen. I machined this (using the stock removal method) from 1/8 inch 1095 high carbon steel stock to a distal taper to the point and edge; a real slicer.
I heat treat in a digitally controlled furnace with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to a hardness of Rc 58-60, this gives the blade a fine grain structure for strength and edge holding.
The handle is professionally stabilized flame box elder sculpted for a comfortable fit in the hand. It is dishwater safe but please never in the dishwasher!
Overall length is 10 1/4 inches with a 6 inch blade
