Perfect price in my humble humble opinion. :) Any idea about the steel though? Edge retention, hardness, etc?

Josh,all I know it's probably a mid grade carbon steel,Takes a super sharp edge,I havn't used one a lot.I just do a little cutting chopping etc.,no chips.Give this one a workout and let me know:)Regards Butch

I got the knife to say, and I'll start with the things I like: It fits great in my hand. A little tight, but it's okay. The cap on the end (head of the spike) would make a great impact-ish weapon. It slices and dices okay, a little thick for cutting up an apple. It's going to make a great camping/utility knife.

On the downside, it didn't come very sharp, barely slicing paper, but nothing ten minutes on my Lansky couldn't fix. I like my knives shaving sharp, but no sharper. There were some small rust spots in the twists and under the head, but I'm not scared about it rusting out. The tip of the knife was also skewed a slight bit to the left.

I'll get some in-use pictures up if I've got the time. Maybe pumpkin carving? ;)

Overall, I love it. Excellent knife, exactly what I wanted, and I'll definitely be back for more. Thanks Butch!

Thanks Josh,I usually get the spike knives pretty sharp, don't know why yours wasn't.Just remember it's humble roots:DI appreciate your review and comments:thumbup:Glad you like it----Regards butch---Oh yes another one coming up this evening--

Not to sure, but it's still amazing. A couple pictures, a few compare it (size wise) to my CRKT M21. I gave it some more use, light chopping, some carving, some cutting. Works excellent, and I'm going to have to make myself a good sheath for it.

Balance is pretty good, but chopping is a bit awkward because theirs not much to choke back on.
