This is the first Auto I have made with this type of mechanism so I guess you could call it a prototype. The blade is 3-1/8 inches long made of Al May ladder pattern damascus. The pattern is really tight and shimmers like Rados ladder does, I really like it. I also carved some flutes on the blade in front of the bolster.
The bolsters are Joel Davis mosaic damascus that I etched and heat colored, it's an interesting effect. The scales are presentation grade white pearl. Fully fileworked backbar and textured liners. The screws are heat colored gold, the liners anodized purple and the backbar anodized light blue. Overall length is 7-1/16inches.
Price is $1400 with fedex 2nd day air shipping included.
Thanks for your consideration,
Chuck

Gorgeous! The fluting adds some great visual cues to an already stunning knife.

Can you tell us a little more about the slide release? I can't tell how it operates (must be my 20/800 vision).

To operate the knife you hold the knife like you normally would. You then use your thumb to slide or push the button to the right. The knife then opens and locks with a linerlock. In the last pic you can see the small checkered button sticking out.
