Sliding Military linerlock

Haha yeah I went a little crazy, although it is my favorite Spydie to date.

The other 4 have really early lockup like you said, but this one is later than most millies I've ever seen at about 50%. I have thought about robbing the stop pin from my beater Millie to see if it makes a difference.

Took the stop pin from my beater S30V Millie. It took the lock slippage right away, and the lockup is about 5% earlier. Still later than my others, but no play. Cool!

Does anyone know why eccentric stop pins aren't used, as they would allow for some degree of adjustment?

Most likely because that would rely on the end user adjusting the knife somehow, and Spyderco doesn't like that. Other than changing pocket clips around, they have a hands off policy. It's not because the knives are hard to work on, because they aren't. It's probably due to most people being too inept to properly disassemble/reassemble the knives.

I say I really like the concept and practice of a floating stop pin (Emerson). It allows the blade to hit a different spot every time.
