Here's a rather unusual doctor pattern from Japanese maker Yoshinori Seto.
It measures 3 3/4" closed and has a scalpel-like secondary blade. Hafted in some very nice stag.

I've only seen a couple makers offering this choice of secondary blade - any others out there?

Congrats Bill.

I know you really like that blade.

Very cool Dr. knife. Might have to follow your lead on that one. :D.

Was this 'scalpel' blade ever offered in any traditional Physicians pattern produced in a production knife that anyone knows of before this custom built knife?

Hey Doc, she is absolutely stunning and would be quite usfull in a pinch, don't you know! Now I want one!

A new pattern perhaps:

Surgeons -- Physicians knife :)

Gorgeous knife Doc, I've never seen anything like it!

I like it. Very cool pattern and great execution. It couldn't have found a better home.

That's exquisite!

I've seen a few in old knife catalogs. Ulster offered one with a long pull spear and a small scalpel called a "Veterinary Operating Knife."

I'm not normally one for doctor's knives but I think that is just the nicest one I've ever seen. I really think that scalpel is very cool.:thumbup:

Very nice, Doc. Looks like it would be terrific for detail work with a choked-up grip.

Great knife, Bill. Would you look at that stag fitting!!
Just plain exquisite! I've never seen a surgical blade in a Dr.
It would be nice to see an old Catalog cut!!
Rick? Or anyone??

That is a very nice knife. Never seen a secondary blade like that on a custom myself. What's the steel on this one?

Bill, you have at least one other with a similar blade,I do believe ??
That blade looks to me,as if it is not so easy to make.
That's a fantastic Dr. knife .You have impeccable taste & a great collection.

Thanks Vince. I do have a similar one from Tom Overeynder. Well, actually two - one with two blades and one with three. :)

I don't know what the blade steel is.
Thanks for all the kind words. This is a very nice one!

I would love to find one of those Ulster knives! That was an expensive one - $126 way back when!!
