Hello all. Here's something that I came up with that some may be interested in.

I was looking for a way to store my pattern-welded kitchen knives in a way that will minimize scratching, rusting and to display them.

I epoxied strong, relatively thin (~1/4" x 3") Neodymium bar magnets to the back of the wood and stuck them to the fridge. I've use both stabilized and unstabilized cut-offs and not sure which is better.

Another thing that I came up with for the stabilized pieces that are big enough is to file deep grooves or crosshatching and made a soap dish.

Any other ideas?

I keep full width cutoffs for bolsters on full Tang knives. I use thin pieces for detail sanding backers.

I use scrap for handles on homemade firesteels to go with my Bushcraft knives.

I tend to burn mine :)

Not stabilized, but when I pull a burl from my pile and work on it, all the cut-off's that I dont have something to do with they go in a box and eventually burned. Kills me to burn hardwood burls, but I can't do anything else with them.

I've made a business card holder, tiny knife handles, liners for other knives, and Ferro rod handles.

I've also thought of making knife displays with odds and ends.

I'm also curious to see what others do.

I've made a heart shaped pendant out of a cut of piece of blackwood for my GF
