While not true paracord, I bought some glow-in-the-dark cord from lighthound just for fun. They have a couple of different thicknesses of it.

If you join the Army and ask your supply Sergeant he/she will square you away with all the free 550 cord you will need!

alright, i've been looking at all of these sites and it seems there are some serious claims about different types. supposedly, there is the "real" stuff and then a variety of others called various other names. am i wrong in assuming that all the others are really just the same thing? they all look the same (as far as color options), so it seems that they all must come from the same place. if that's the case, there is no reason to not buy it as cheap as possible for the colored options. maybe i'll spring for the "real" stuff in od, but it seems the rest is all the same.

so, am i wrong?
