From a few comments I received on my e-mail I have to explain the term "ugly" with these knives. When I showed one to a friend who is a civil engineer (This is a man who see beauty in fresh concrete and bridge abutments) he could not understand why I would leave hammer marks on these knives. After I spent a good deal of time explaining mixtures of texture and color in hand made crafts his response was "but it is ugly". So the name stuck.

*I* certainly don't think it is ugly...good job.
Your taper looks terrific

Very clean sheathwork too!!!

G L Drew as soon as i get some knife money im buying one of your pieces... the practicality and beauty are second to none plus i ive your pocket sheathes

Just for my 2 cents. I have bought from drew a "ugly" knife and it is one of my favorite. Feels great. Very reliable, excellent taper on the tang. I have 0 complaints on it. And I love the way it looks.

That handle looks mighty comfy! Depth towards the pommel end but narrow in width for feel. The tapered tang really sets it off.

Yes, this one is very comfortable. It is going to a show with me this week-end and if someone picks it up and feels how well it fits the hand I am sure it will sell.

GL,You're too hard on yourself.I've yet to see you put out an ugly knife.Including this one.
