Whats up BF Fam!
Finally lucked out on a GB umnumzaan! Esthetically it's amazing ergos for my hands not so much. Ive been looking at a medford slim midi to possibly fill its spot.

If anyone out there has both or has had both could you comment on how they compare and hopefully post a few pics side by side?

Thanks in advance!

Don't have any side by sides because I've since sold my last Umnumzaan. And don't get me wrong, I love my CRK's. But you won't be disappointed by the Slim Midi. It's probably my most carried knife of 2024.

Super neutral ergo's, carries smaller in the pocket than the CRK and has slight better cutting geometry imo..

Have you experienced any lock stick? If so did it work itself out? How about the sharpness of the lock bar?
Nice boots man

Never had any lock stick at all. And honestly the lock bar sharpness is about perfect, just sharp enough to get a good bite on but not like cut you sharp.

You can kind of see it in the pic, but i did use a Dremel to make a slight cutout on the show side scale to get a little more lock bar access. Wasn't required, but I have monster hands and it just made my life easier.

And appreciate it. Oak Street Trench Boot.

My thoughts exactly on the zaan. Beautiful knife but terrible in the hand. No experience with the midi but looks comfy. Would highly recommend buying on the secondary for some serious savings.

Have Zaans, really big fan but not all the comfortable in the hand. Large Inkosi is a dream!!!!!

Had a slim midi tanto and I’m not joking when I say it was the worst action and most painful/uncomfortable knife I’ve ever owned. Trying to access the lockbar to close the knife was like dancing with the devil.

Does Medford make sure all edges on the scales are sharpened and stropped at 90 degrees before they leave the factory?
