Here's another one folks... I had to try out some of this amber buckeye on one of these wharncliffes. It just seems to look great no matter what you use it on.
Even though XHP is a nice steel and has been working great for me, I figured it was time I started mixing it up at least a little bit. S35VN is a pretty solid choice.
Lightweight, well balanced, and very nice lines.
Specs:
S35VN @60, .161" thick, hollow ground w/slightly convex bevel
4.375" edge length, 10" OAL, 6.4oz
Amber dyed & stabilized buckeye burl, K&G
$205 shipped, w/choice of made-to-order sheath
Just because it bears mentioning... so far I have found that customers are on average, more interested in getting their knife shipped quickly, than they are in getting to choose what sheath they get. This is very likely the last knife I will sell here, where the buyer gets to choose the sheath color and style. I will still try my best to accommodate left handed buyers, or those with specific carry needs, but in general the sheath and knife will be an as-is package. I am having to streamline my activities, and this is one of the places getting smoothed out. I enjoy doing to-order leatherwork, but I have to be really careful how much time I take away from my knifemaking.
