I was looking around at instinct shooting at www.chiefaj.com and found this link: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9ieWrWLjii0

The way he shoots, it just looks totally effortless and looks plenty accurate enough for small game and flying birds.

I notice on the Chief AJ site that the thumb and forefinger basically form a "sighting window" so you instinctively track the target between the index finger tip and thumb tip - and let it rip.

Now where did I put my slingshot.... :)
 
he, he's up near me. I'll have to go see if I can track him down!
 
My GrandFather on My Mothers side was from Murphy NC, He was a true Surviver, he was great with traps and hunting, I often wish I was around him more but when I got older I was out and about living my life. All the old folks could just do things that well we are not good at because we just am not doing it anymore.

Cool video. Im pretty good with a slingshot. Its definatly something that needs practiced regularly to be confident in your ability to harvest game.

I read an article about modifyin a wood marksman slingshot to shoot arrows. It was pretty cool. I think it was on Don Rearics site.
 
I shot two rabbits with a wrist rocket. Not head shots, body shots. They just hopped away. Did kill a Gerbil one time. Not like Richard Gere either. It was on the street for some reason. Got him with one shot.
 
Never have taken a rabbit, but many a bird and squirill have fallen to my wrist rocket.

1/2 inch marbles are hell on stray cats at about 25 feet. Survival food, Tabby rangoon on the end of my spoon :barf:.

Wow. That's pretty impressive. I was never able to hit much of anything except my thumb with one of those.
 
wow.. great video...:eek: that guy rocks... instinctive shooting is the way.. i shoot my bows instinctively.. :)
 
Here's one that my Dad made for me a few years ago. Him and his brother are awesome with a slingshot. They use to kill squirrels when they were young, through the 1950's. I'm alright but nowhere as good as they are.

Man now im gona have to go get a slingshot now i use to kill morning doves as a small child no im gona have to go after some squirrels
 
I used to be a great shot with a wrist rocket. I still have it around here someplace.
