Why not? Seems to be enough of an interest around here. What does everyone else think?

Regards,

Tom Carey

I think that traditional knives are making a come back.their seems to be plenty of interest here to support a fourm. Why not?

I say "No", i'm totally lost in the realm of G-10, liner/axis/plunge locks...ti and blak-ti and boron carbide...

Slipjoints make me sleep...
I'm a tactical knife geek :)

But of coures, each to his own, i'd love to see a forum for those interested, this place is great as it caters to many different topics within the "knife habit" arena :)

So, after all i guess i'm in for "Yes" then?? ;)

That's a big YES vote from me!!!! Slipjoint posts get lost amongst all of the G-10 and pocket clips around here.

I love custom slip joints, I have a Joel Chamblin and it is wonderful. From what I have heard slip joints are very difficult to make, that makes them even more interesting to me. I would really like a slip joint forum

I am just gonna keep yard sale-ing and Flea marketing up here in the Boonie of New England. i have no idea just yet what I will find, but every home, and every Farm has got shoeboxes full for less than ten bucks for a boatload. The day shall come when I find THAT slip Joint worth a hell of a lot more than the .25 cents i pay for them now. Who knows, I already may have it!!!!! wolf
KEEP POSTING!!!!!! I need KNOWLEDGE!!!!!:)

Maybe we can get Tony Bose to visit once in a while.

I think that is a great idea. I get bored with cookie cutter tacticals, even though I have some and love them. Slipjoints have a lot of character.

They are versatile and useful ,too. I used to skin deer with an old vintage Case stockman back when I was a kid and didn't know any better.

But even if that idea don't float, it's great to see the occassional post about traditionals here.:)

I've been here two years and there's some forums I have never been to, simply for a lack of interest. When I log on to BFC I go to the Home Page and press the New Posts Button, I get to see what's going on since the last time I've been here. If the Topic catches my interest I'll see what forum it's in, and still there's forums I've never visited.

I'm an old guy, I like traditional stuff and slip-joints are something that suit my taste. I don't remember any particular thread on S/J's I've become involved in, but I did start one recently about a newly acquired Case Elephants' Toenail that didn't get much response.

So, I would say it's up to Spark and the folks that know more about this style of knife than I do. Post interesting topics, add some pics and I'll be there. ;)
