Are there advantages/disadvantages to having smaller or larger diameter pivot pins ?

Smaller pivots are easier to peen. Most slippy makers use 3/32 pins.

I agree..3/32" pins for pivot and spring....1/16" for scales.

Thanks for the replies. Ive noticed that a lot of folders ( non slippies ) have larger pivot pins/ bushings and wondered if it would be adventagious to have them on slippies.

Some do put bushings on slip joints with 3/32" pins you just have to make them (bushings with a 3/32 hole) because they aren't available commercially
