Slip Joints with Pocket Clips?

Got the 4107. It's not a bad little watch pocket slipjoint after you take the pocket clip off. :) It looks less tacticool in person, a good thing. I should have gotten the 4109 as it's essentially the same, maybe looking a little more sedate.

Which of that list are double detent mechanisms?

Is the 4107 a spring back?

Yes.

It's smaller than you would think. It's solid but the handle feels a little light making it feel just a bit flimsy. The 4109 handle has no cutouts and may feel better. As said, it's a nice watch pocket knife.

However, Sanrenmu does a decent job with 8cr13mov.

I'm curious about the double détente slipjoint mechanism but all the ones I know for sure use it are a bit tactical looking for me.

I think all the larger sized ones and the multitool-ish models, except the 7112, use the ball detente mechanism. I think all the smaller ones (4xxx numbers) use a backspring.

The 7112 and the smaller models have aluminum handles anodized in various colors. This makes them very lightweight.

The ball detente models do have a more modern, "tactical" if you will, appearance, with contoured g10 handles and stainless liners, one hand opening features, sometimes flippers.

Thank you sir! I'm going to end up getting one just to be able to check the double detent construction out.

It would be neat to make a traditional slipjoint with all modern materials and construction.

Of the ones I know about that haven't yet been mentioned--IIRC--there's also the Boker XS (decent), the Boker Trance 42 (very good), the Boker Nano 42 (no experience), the Byrd Tern (mixed reviews overall but mine is pretty decent), and the Lansky World Legal (no experience; IMO it's hideous but it fits your criteria).

CRKT and SOG also make some, but I hate CRKTs for their poor QC and heat treat, and I hate SOG for their ripoffs of other manufacturers, most notably Spyderco.
